Rohith Devanathan

Rohith Devanathan is the founder and CEO of ScrubMarine, which builds underwater robots that inspect, clean and report on the infrastructure global trade runs on. The company is venture-backed, with its first commercial pilots underway with major industrial operators.

Before ScrubMarine, he spent a year inside a deep-tech venture fund while studying robotics engineering, worked in his university's technology transfer office helping researchers turn ideas into fundable companies, and has been starting and running small businesses since his teens.

Veeran Advisory is where his writing lives: numbered papers on the technologies reshaping global capital, read in the UK and India.

Through the Veeran Foundation, he funds education in Tamil Nadu, where he was born, starting with the refurbishment of a government high school and a programme bringing robotics labs to state schools.
